Spirit Comes to You

Updated: Jan 14, 2020

Dear One: Over your life, you have been told in many different ways that you can think or believe yourself into a different or better place in your life--along the lines of the famous quote in your world that you might not be able to control your circumstances but you can control the way you react to them. And, that is true--but, what seems to be implied though is that you will always be able to "control" your reactions in such a way that your circumstances will somehow become less important then they surely are. We would like to suggest a different way to look at your reactions. Perhaps you can't or even shouldn't tell yourself that you should find a way to react to your circumstances in a positive way (as the world tends to describe "positive"). Perhaps, your anger or even despair will encourage you to take action. And, even if it does not, you can be the best possible angry person that has ever lived--you can mine that anger for ways in which your circumstances are not consistent with your Truth. You can explore your despair and find in it creativity or a desire to alleviate the despair of others. Life's difficult moments, when looked at from different perspectives, even if those perspectives may, at first, seem counterproductive, can be a great teacher. Unless your responses cause you harm or bring harm to others, you do not have to change the way you respond as long as you make good use of your responses. We would recommend to you that you place far less energy into changing your responses through whatever methods work for others, and adopt your own way of utilizing your responses to be more inline with the work Spirit has for you to do. Spirit does not expect you to change where you are; Spirit comes to you and sits beside you in your pain and confusion and loves you as you live into whatever response is authentically yours. Fondly, Maralda
