In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in an clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. ~Mahatma Gandhi
Too often we try to talk and listen at the same time. Oh, the talking may not be heard aloud, but we are nevertheless talking. Only in the silence of a stilled mind, a quieted restless heart, will we begin to hear and discern the truth. Why, then, is it so hard for us to center down into the silence of our souls and maintain the way of peacefulness? Are we afraid of the demands of the silence or are we afraid that there are no demands at all--that we are, once and for all, acceptable exactly the way we are? Learning to live in that kind of love is a feast of freedom--a call to all there is. May we find the courage to be loved into Silence, at long last. Namaste
Gentle Thoughts: Are you ready to be loved into Silence? Are you afraid of what you might or might not find there, but are ready anyway?
