“If religion is understanding God in the collective stories of life, then spirituality is finding God in our own narrative.” ― H.L. Balcomb
Most of what most of us think of as religion comes from what others have told; perhaps what we have learned from our families, our cultures or our friends. When we stay in the arena of religion and do not seek our own understanding of God as it is told in our own stories we miss the higher nature of what God is and how the unconditional love of Spirit creates in us a yearning to know more and more. As we look at our own stories, we find God motioning to us to come closer, to seek deeper meaning, and to ask more significant questions. May we find our higher consciousness of the wonder and mystery of Spirit or God, in our quest to listen to our own hearts. May it be so. Namaste.
