"Problems are the cutting edge that distinguishes between success and failure. Problems ... create our courage and wisdom." - M. Scott Peck
In order to be “spiritual” people (whatever that means to you), we are not required to enjoy adversity even though adversity is a part of every life. Anyone who says that going through adversity is not hard if you believe that all will work out in the end has never been through the kind of adversity that sucks the very life out of your soul. What matters is knowing that the Universe wants and intends for you to survive. What matters is that you surround yourself with people who want you to survive and thrive in new ways after the adversity has been resolved. Adversity, every adversity, large or small, changes who we are. We learn new things about ourselves and about the world when we are caught in a tornado of adversity. Some may think that you are “over-reacting”. Walk away from those people unless they are keeping you from harm. Your pain is yours and it is that very pain that teaches us to be courageous and to find wisdom in your quest to meet the adversity head on. May it be so. Namaste
Gentle Thoughts: If life is hard, embrace what it can teach you and those with whom you live and care about you.
