Self-Acceptance

From early childhood we struggle to accept who we are. We’re too short, too tall, to fat, not pretty, not handsome, not smart, not wealthy…. The list goes on and on. We all have things about ourselves which, while we may not like them, we must learn to love them if we are to have a whole and healthy relationship with ourselves. If we find ourselves saying, “I am my own worst enemy”, we are already affirming that which walks us down a path that is not good for us. We must learn to be our own best friends. Best friends love us no. matter. what. We can change, we can learn to be that kind of best friend to ourselves; and, while we do so we will become better friends to others. When we live in wholeness we without thinking share that wholeness and authenticity with everyone we meet, indeed, with the world. Namaste.
