Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can. ~ John Wesley
On mornings when we wake up feeling down about what we have to offer the world, there is always something that we have at our ready—kindness. And as we begin to exercise that kindness to others, to animals, to the earth itself, we find kindness beginning to grow in our hearts towards ourselves. Suddenly, our ability to give to the world explodes in small and large acts of loving compassion. We cannot be kind to those from whom we feel separate. Only when we begin to understand that we are all one does kindness bubble up from the heart—a literal spring of unending kindness. As we grow in our ability to show kindness, a strange thing happens. We begin to recognize acts of kindness from others towards ourselves. We join in a great sharing of kindness and compassion throughout the world. And we are One. Namaste
Gentle Thoughts: Name one, just one, person who needs an extra measure of your kindness today.
