“It is easy to believe we are each waves and forget we are also the ocean.” ―Jon J. Muth
The waves lap gently against the beach—it seems like one at a time depending on our perspective. If we are sitting in the first few inches of the water, we experience each wave, flowing over us ever so briefly before returning to where it came. And another, and another. A favorite “thin spce” for most, a place where Universal Love meets earth. But if we turn completely inward we may fail to take in the rest of the ocean shining on seemingly forever in front of us. We get like that sometimes; seeing each thing that happens to us as a single wave. We become self-centered, focused on our own wave. The ocean lies before us inviting us to thoroughly immerse ourselves in the fullness of wading into the deeper water and becoming, not just the recipient of our own personal wave, but to become a part of humanity and all of creation. We are invited to leave our personal world and our ego behind and rise to get ourselves really wet in the sea of Love that awaits us. May it be so. Namaste
